Invitation for membership

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join the SW Michigan Chapter of Society of Financial Service Professionals.

It is the professional home for credentialed professionals!  We provide unsurpassed benefits, services and networking opportunities for its members who serve the public in the financial service industry.  Society members come together and share their individual “wisdom” with other members to sharpen their skills that ultimately benefit the public.

Our local chapter provides ongoing continuing education opportunities that will allow you to receive credits to meet your State of Michigan, CPA, CFP and CPE Continuing Education requirements. We offer a wide variety of topics including estate planning, employee benefits, retirement strategies to name a few.  We have been able to offer these courses at a reduced rate to our members by funds that are generated by participation in our Annual Golf Outing.

FSP Membership Dues

National Dues are discounted to regular members by $10 and other members by $5 if they pay by bank draft or check.

See National Site for current dues.  Click Here

Apply online at the National Site or download the membership application posted above.

University Partnership Program

In the fall of 2008, we kicked off our partnership program with Western Michigan University by hosting one of our education programs at The Hayworth College of Business.  During that time, members also received a tour of the new state of the art career center built and designed for potential employers to have a facility to perform on campus interviews.  In addition, students are invited to our education programs and chapter events.

In 2006, we nominated Whirlpool for the American Business Ethics Award (ABEA) and members of our chapter, employees of Whirlpool, and students from Western Michigan University worked together to produce a written document describing the ethical practices and procedures of Whirlpool.  Whirlpool was the winner of the ABEA award that year.
